Hair Loss from Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is a powerful treatment that targets fast-growing cancer cells, but it can also affect the hair follicles, leading to hair thinning or hair loss. This can happen gradually or suddenly, and for many people, it is one of the most emotionally challenging parts of their cancer journey.

Hair loss during chemotherapy can impact self-image, confidence, and how you feel in daily life. For many, this stage brings feelings of worry, overwhelm, or uncertainty about what to expect.

Everyone’s experience is different, and whether your hair returns quickly, slowly, or with changes in texture or density, you deserve care, understanding, and gentle support throughout your journey

My Experience Supporting Chemotherapy Patients

Alongside my private work, my experience includes serving as a wig-fitting consultant within Guy’s Hospital Cancer Centre for patients undergoing chemotherapy. This role was deeply meaningful to me, allowing me to support individuals through one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.

Having worked in a clinical environment has given me firsthand insight into:

  • The emotions surrounding chemotherapy-related hair loss

  • How treatment affects the scalp and hair follicles

  • What patients need in terms of support, sensitivity, comfort, and reassurance

  • How to approach hair solutions with safety, compassion, and professionalism

This clinical background continues to enrich the way I support all my chemotherapy clients—whether they are preparing for treatment, currently undergoing it, or beginning their regrowth journey.

Hair Solutions After Chemotherapy

As treatment ends and natural hair begins to regrow, some clients experience slower regrowth, patchiness, or a change in overall volume and texture. This stage can feel challenging when you are eager to rebuild confidence and regain a sense of normality.

To support this delicate transition, I offer my own, handmade keratin bonds designed specifically to be gentle on new, vulnerable regrowth.

How My Handmade Keratin Bonds Help After Chemotherapy

  • Encourage healthy regrowth - lightweight and non-damaging, allowing new hairs to grow freely

  • Blend naturally with new hair - adding fullness while your natural hair strengthens and thickens

  • Boost confidence during recovery - helping you feel more like yourself throughout the regrowth stage

  • Safe for delicate hair - crafted carefully to avoid tension on fragile follicles

  • Custom-made for each individual - every bond is handmade and colour-matched for a seamless, natural appearance

This method supports both the cosmetic and emotional aspects of recovery, helping you feel comfortable and confident as your hair continues to change and grow.

A Gentle, Compassionate Approach

I understand how personal and emotional the journey through cancer treatment can be. My approach is always:

  • Kind

  • Respectful

  • Private

  • Patient

  • Tailored to your individual needs

Whether you are preparing for treatment, already undergoing chemotherapy, or starting to see new regrowth, you will be supported with sensitivity, care, and expertise at every stage.

Your care, wellbeing and comfort are always my top priority.
